The action force distance of pneumatic valves is larger than that of electric valves. The opening and closing speed of pneumatic valves can be adjusted, with a simple structure and easy maintenance. During the action process, due to the buffering characteristics of the gas itself, it is not easy to be damaged due to jamming. However, there must be a gas source, and its control system is also more complex than that of electric valves. Pneumatic valves have sensitive response, safety, and reliability. Many factories with high control requirements specifically set compressed air stations for pneumatic instrument control components. Electric requires electricity. The essential difference between electric valves and pneumatic valves lies in the use of different driving devices, namely actuators, while the regulating valve itself has no significant difference. The main requirement for cooperating with different actuators is working conditions, such as in situations where explosion-proof requirements are required in chemical engineering. Pneumatic valves are commonly used because of their high safety requirements and low price. Combined with intelligent locators, they can be connected to the bus, and the control method is also simple. The power source of the electric valve actuator is the power supply. If the circuit board or motor malfunctions, sparks are prone to occur, so it is generally used in places with low environmental requirements and no danger. The power source of the pneumatic valve actuator is the air source, which comes from the air compressor. A locator is used to convert the electric control signal into a pneumatic control signal, driving the pneumatic actuator to adjust the valve position. Compared to the regulating performance of pneumatic actuators and electric actuators, pneumatic actuators have faster response speed and are more suitable for application in regulating conditions. Therefore, manufacturers producing regulating valves also produce pneumatic actuators to match them.
